Welcome to Nursery!
"There are so many exciting experiences and amazing adventures to be discovered - we
can't wait to continue playing and learning together!"
Spring Term 2019
Our topic this term is
During the term, the children will be learning about different habitats from around the world.
In January, Early Years began by
learning about the Polar Regions and the animals that live there. We discussed the houses that we might find in the North and South Poles and compared them to our own houses.
The children and parents help to build an igloo in the classroom using plastic milk bottles, which they used as a reading hideout. We have also began to learn a Polar bear dance and explore materials to support our learning in dance.
Finding hidden messages whilst exploring ways to melt the ice.
Our first Polar story is
'Lost and Found'.
Cotswold Wildlife Park Trip July 2018
Summer Term 2018
Our topic for this term is
'It's a Small World'. Early Years will be finding out about places around the world - food, clothing, languages, flags, transport, landmarks, weather, currency, animals.
We will also be discovering lots about the world around us -
where we live and comparing it to other places.
Nursery began the new topic by learning about Planet Earth and where we live on it. We found the UK on a map and identified where Coventry is. We also began to learn a dance with our dance teacher Adele based on the 'Go Jetters' theme tune.
Spring Term 2018
Our new topic for this term is 'The Circle of Life'.
To support our learning about humans and how they change at different ages, please bring a photograph of your child as a baby to Nursery.
We will use these photographs as part of our display and they will be returned to you afterwards. Thank you for your support.
